The Gettysburg Address, the history behind it’s writing, the meaning and philosophy of the words and phrases, and the different versions of the Gettysburg Address.

The words of the Gettysburg Address were spoken from a man who only had a 1st grade education and yet would rise to become the 16th President of the United States.

The words that he chose had the same philosophical intentions as the Declaration of Independence, Mr. Lincoln being a strong believer in not only the Declaration of Independence but also of the Constitution. This same man would one day write the Emancipation Proclamation.

Today, there are only 5 known, authenticated, copies of the Gettysburg Address, Mr. Smith will discuss the history behind its writing, the meaning and philosophy of the words and phrases used, and the different versions.
